Traced Basics began with a quiet observation: comfort, breathability, and how something feels hour after hour all come back to one thing — material. Not design trends. Not marketing claims. The fiber itself. We set out to make everyday underwear by starting where it matters most. Choosing better materials. Understanding where they come from. And stripping away everything that doesn’t add real value.
Fabric & Sourcing
If cotton was the reference point, Lyocell is a considered step forward. Lyocell is a naturally derived fiber known for its softness, breathability, and skin comfort — refined to perform more consistently throughout the day. It feels smoother on the skin, handles moisture more effectively, and maintains a comfortable balance over time. Our fabric is made from 95% Lyocell, with 5% elastane added only to provide stretch and shape retention. Nothing more than what’s necessary. Materials are selected not just for how they feel, but for how responsibly they’re made. Independent certifications ensure skin safety, ethical production, and traceable sourcing at every step.
